A Growing Legacy
The Pruitt Executive Team is the next generation of forward-thinkers, committed to continuing a family legacy of high quality RCD & MPD equipment. They strive to carry on the traditions and values of their founding fathers, while proudly pioneering new, innovative techniques in the oil and gas industry.
Grant Pruitt is the grandson of A.B. Pruitt, founder of Pruitt Tool & Supply Co. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 2001, and joined the company immediately following his graduation.
The first several years of his career were spent learning about all facets of the company's equipment line, as well as the sales and service aspects of the business. In 2004, Grant was named the Director of Product Development, where he formed a team of designers whose purpose was to design a Pruitt High Pressure RCD. He and his team not only designed and patented the Pruitt High Pressure RCD (PRCD 3000), but also developed an intermediate pressure head (PRCD 1500), as well as several additional pieces of equipment that have been added to the company's product line over the years.
Grant was promoted to Vice President of Domestic Operations in 2005. While he continued to have a hand in product design, his primary responsibility shifted to the growth of the company's US operations. In this role, Pruitt oversaw the company's expansion into several new oil and gas plays including the opening of new locations in Louisiana, Wyoming, New York, and Pennsylvania.
During the establishment of the company's Marcellus Shale offices, Grant relocated to Northern Pennsylvania for several months. In 2010, he returned to the corporate office and began concentrating on developing the company's presence in international markets. During his term as Vice President of International Operations, Grant traveled extensively while negotiating pricing and the logistics of the Company's international sales in Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific.
In April of 2012, Alan B. Pruitt retired after 30 years with the company, and his son Grant assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer, where he continues today. His vision for the future of the company involves aggressive development of new products and continued expansion both domestically and internationally.
